Care Philosophy

In Maternal-Fetal Medicine, optimizing medical care takes not only being an expert in the field but also understanding that complicated pregnancies are not just a "medical issue". I strive to work as a team with my patients (and their families) to ensure that the plan we make together works for them. I aim to provide patient centered care with an understanding that every patient and their family is unique, and the same plan doesn't work for every person. I vow to provide equitable care for all people regardless of gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or other circumstances. I will forever celebrate what makes each person who they are. Patients should always feel that they have a voice and it is my goal to ensure that they feel heard and feel central in all plans that we make together.

Clinical Interest for Patients

While I enjoy all areas of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, some of my specific clinical interests include Adult Congenital Heart Disease, multifetal gestations (twins, and higher-order multiples), complex deliveries (breech extraction of the second twin, operative vaginal delivery), partnering with patients who have complex and/or traumatic reproductive/medical histories, and caring for pregnant people living with HIV.

Personal Interests
I grew up in Alaska and first moved to Colorado for my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Being outdoors has been a part of my life since I was born and these days, in my spare time, I enjoy hiking and camping with my husband, kiddos, and two dogs.

Volunteer Activities
Outside of medicine, I volunteer with a local dog rescue. Both of my pups started as fosters and became family.
