Research Interests for Patients
My research focus is on the immunologic mechanisms of heart injury and repair. I am specifically interested in cellular based therapies and novel preservation strategies that may prevent or reverse the heart injury that is inherent to transplantation. My hope is to be a part of expanding and improving this treatment option for many awaiting heart transplantation. Additionally, I am a part of a team of investigators exploring novel imaging applications in single ventricle congenital heart disease.
