Coolsculpting®
CoolSculpting® is an FDA-cleared, clinically proven body contouring treatment for diet- and exercise-resistant fat. It’s safe, easy, and effective, and works by cryolipolysis–freezing and eliminating fat cells. Say goodbye to stubborn fat WITHOUT surgery, needles or downtime.
Commonly treated areas include the upper and lower abdomen, hips or flanks (“muffin tops”), back fat, inner and outer thighs, “bra fat” (bulge at the front of the armpits), and submental fat (“double chin”).
Each session takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the area being treated. Patients often spend procedure time reading, working on their laptop, or simply relaxing.
Results look natural and can be seen as early as 3 weeks following treatment, with peak results seen after 3 to 4 months. You and your provider will determine how many treatments are appropriate for your particular target area.
Fat Grafting
Fat grafting is a surgical procedure to restore volume and youthful contour to areas of your face, breasts, hands, and buttocks. Fat grafting is performed by obtaining amounts of fat from inconspicuous areas on your body, or during liposuction for body contouring, and injecting the fat into your face or body. Your CU Medicine Plastic Surgery provider will work with you directly to determine your individualized approach.
Fat grafting is the safe, natural way to regain volume lost with aging or to fill deformities from trauma or surgery. The transplanted fat integrates with surrounding tissue and creates supple, smooth, contoured fullness that looks and feels incredibly natural. Since it’s your own body fat, there’s no chance of rejection. Recovery typically takes 1-2 weeks with minimal discomfort. Whether you want to restore youthful facial volume, achieve breast reconstruction, or contour other areas, fat grafting can help you achieve natural-looking aesthetic goals.
Microneedling
Microneedling encourages skin rejuvenation by creating intentional trauma to the skin with very fine needles. This injury to the skin signals to the body to generate new collagen and skin tissue, resulting in smoother, firmer, more toned skin.
Microneedling is mostly used on the face and may treat various scars, wrinkles, and large pores. It is most effective when done in a series. A numbing cream will be applied prior to the procedure to minimize any discomfort. After the treatment there will be some initial redness in the treatment area, which can last anywhere from 2-4 days. Some patients heal in as little as 24 hours.
